We take great pride in ensuring that every order is handled with care — from our fields in Herat to your table.
Please review our shipping and return policy below to understand how we process, deliver, and support every purchase.
🚚 Shipping Policy
Order Processing
- All retail orders are processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your confirmation email.
- You will receive a shipping confirmation and tracking number once your order has been dispatched.
- During harvest season or promotional events, processing times may extend slightly due to high demand — we appreciate your patience.
Shipping Methods & Delivery Times
We currently ship from our U.S. fulfillment center to destinations across the United States, Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Estimated delivery times:
- Domestic (USA): 3–7 business days
- International: 7–21 business days depending on customs and location
Please note: Delivery times may vary based on carrier availability, destination, or unforeseen customs delays.
Shipping Costs
- Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and package weight.
- Orders above $50 (USA only) qualify for free standard shipping.
- Express shipping options are available for an additional cost.
International Shipping & Customs
We proudly ship worldwide.
However, customers are responsible for:
- Any customs duties, import taxes, or fees applied by their country.
- Ensuring that saffron imports are permitted in their region.
If an order is returned due to import restrictions or unpaid duties, a refund (excluding shipping costs) will be processed once the product is safely returned and inspected.
Address Accuracy
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout.
We are not responsible for orders delivered to incorrect addresses provided by the customer.
If you notice an error after placing your order, contact us immediately at hello@heratisaffron.com— we’ll do our best to correct it before dispatch.
💛 Return & Refund Policy
We want you to love your saffron as much as we do.
If, for any reason, you’re not completely satisfied, please review the following guidelines:
Eligibility for Returns
To qualify for a return:
- The item must be unopened, unused, and in its original packaging.
- You must contact us within 30 days of receiving your order.
- Proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) is required.
Due to food safety standards, we cannot accept returns for opened or used products.
Return Process

- Include your order number and reason for the return.
- Once approved, you will receive return instructions and a return shipping address.
- After we receive and inspect your returned item, we’ll notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
Refunds are typically processed within 7–10 business days after receiving your item.
Refunds
If approved, your refund will be credited to your original payment method.
Shipping fees are non-refundable, except when the return is due to a shipping error or product defect on our part.
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect:
- Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the issue and packaging.
- We will offer a replacement, exchange, or full refund depending on the situation.
We take quality seriously — every saffron thread is hand-inspected before packing.
Exchanges
We currently do not offer direct exchanges.
If you wish to replace an item, please return the original for a refund and place a new order.
Non-Returnable Items
- Opened saffron jars or sachets
- Discounted or clearance items
- Gift cards
- Custom or bulk orders
Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled within 12 hours of purchase if they have not yet shipped.
Once an order is processed or dispatched, cancellations cannot be guaranteed.
Lost or Stolen Packages
Once marked as “Delivered” by the carrier, the responsibility for the package transfers to the recipient.
If you believe your order is lost or stolen, please contact us and your local carrier — we will assist in filing a claim and, if possible, provide a replacement.
